India vs West Indies 2nd Test, Day 3: Live cricket score, updates and pictures- as it happens in Hyderabad


India took first-innings lead of 56 runs as they posted 367 runs on third day of the second Test against West Indies on Sunday.

Rishabh Pant and Ajinkya Rahane put India in the front seat as they added unbeaten 146 runs for the fifth wicket to guide India to 308-4 at stumps on day two of second test match against West Indies in Hyderabad.

Pant was batting on 85 at stumps with Rahane on 75. Earlier, India had dominated the morning session, needing only 6.4 overs to claim the last three West Indies wickets as the tourists folded for 311 in their first innings.

Roston Chase hit a century as West Indies were all out for 311 in their first innings with Umesh Yadav taking 6 wickets for India. India's teenage opener Prithvi Shaw missed out on a century scoring 70 to give India a great start. Indian captain Virat Kohli added 45 while KL Rahul (4) and Pujara (10) were the other wickets to fall. 


2. Rishabh, Rahane restore dominance



West Indies had claimed three wickets after lunch to roar back into the contest in Hyderabad. But Rishabh Pant and Ajinkya Rahane, temperamentally poles apart, wrested the initiative back.

3. Rahane, Jadeja fall early


West Indies struck early on Sunday as Jason Holder sent back Ajinkya Rahane for 80. He then trapped Ravindra Jadeja LBW for a duck.

4. Rishabh Pant misses century

Rishabh Pant missed out on another century as was dismissed for the second time on 92 in as many innings this series.

Jason Holder completed his five-wicket haul when he dismissed Kuldeep Yadav (6) with India at 334/8
